Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. (22.5mL) Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend
  • 1 cup (240mL) raw brown rice
  • 1/2 cup (120mL) pearl barley
  • 1 tsp. (5mL) olive oil
  • 1/3 cup (80mL) finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. (22.5mL) fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup (120mL) dried cranberries
  • 1 Tbsp. (15mL) butter
Directions
  • 1. Cook the brown rice and barley in water for 40 minutes, according to package directions.
  • 2. Heat olive oil in small skillet, add onion and garlic and saute until tender.
  • 3. Combine brown rice, barley, onion mixture, lime juice, Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend, dried cranberries, and butter. Serve warm.
