Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp. (30mL) Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend
  • 2 tsp. (10mL) Mrs. Dash® Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend
  • 1/4 cup (60mL) butter
  • 3/4 cup (180mL) light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60mL) water
  • 4 cups (960mL) raw pecan halves
  • Vegetable oil cooking spray
Directions
  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • 2. Spray two large baking sheets with cooking spray.
  • 3. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar, water, Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend and Mrs. Dash® Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend; stir until sugar dissolves.
  • 4. Add nuts to sugar mixture and cook until syrup thickly coats nuts. Stir often, approximately 5 minutes.
  • 5. Transfer nuts to prepared baking sheets. Place in oven and bake for 10 minutes, being careful not to burn.
  • 6. Remove sheets from oven, cool completely.
  • 7. Store nuts in airtight tins at room temperature.

Just made these nuts today. So easy. I did add a little cayenne. I make other spice nuts basicly the same way and add curry powder to taste.

I made it using Splenda Brown Sugar, even less carb
