Ingredients
  • 1 Tbsp. (15mL) Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend
  • 1/2 pkg. frozen puff pastry
  • 1 Tbsp. (15mL) Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup (120mL) shredded, skim milk Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 Oz. (60g) prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 1 large egg, beaten
Directions
  • 1. Thaw puff pastry according to package directions.
  • 2. Roll pastry into 10X12 inch (23X30cm) rectangle.
  • 3. Brush Dijon mustard evenly on top of dough.
  • 4. Lay sliced Proscuitto on top of mustard, sprinkle with shredded mozzarella.
  • 5. Cut in half crosswise to form (10x6 inch) (23X15cm) rectangle.
  • 6. Roll up rectangle from long end, jelly roll fashion, pinch seams to seal.
  • 7. Beat egg.
  • 8. Cut roll into 1/4 inch (6cm) thick slices.
  • 9. Place slices cut side up on lightly greased baking sheet.
  • 10. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy.
  • 11. Bake in 400°F (200°C) oven for 14 to 16 minutes or until golden.
  • 12. These bites can be made ahead, wrapped and frozen.
  • 13. Place in preheated oven for 5 to 7 minutes or until hot.
  • 14. Serve warm.
