Cheddar Shortbread

Ingredients:
  • 1 Tbsp. (15mL) Mrs. Dash® Tomato Basil Garlic Seasoning Blend
  • 1/2 lb (225g) sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 lb(115g) butter, unsalted
  • 1 cup (240mL) flour, sifted
  • vegetable oil spray
Directions:
  1. Place cheddar cheese and butter in a bowl and cream with electric mixer until fluffy.
  2. Add flour and Mrs. Dash® Tomato Basil Garlic and mix well.
  3. Divide dough in two and roll into cylinders 1 inch (1.5cm) in diameter.
  4. Wrap dough sections in plastic wrap and chill or freeze.
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) when ready to serve.
  6. Lightly spray cookie sheet with vegetable oil spray.
  7. Cut dough into 1/4 inch (6cm) thick circles and place on cookie sheet 1 inch (1.5cm) apart.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
  9. Remove and let cool.
