Spanish Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (500g) large shrimp, shelled and deveined
- 1 Tbsp. (15mL) Mrs. Dash® Original Blend
- 1 Tbsp. (15mL) unsalted butter
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. (15mL) cooking oil
- 1/2 cup (120ml) Spanish onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup (120mL) red onion, thinly sliced
- 3 large tomatoes, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. (15mL) Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend
Directions:
- Dry shrimp with paper towel and sprinkle with Mrs. Dash® Original Blend.
- Add butter to large skillet, heat to bubbling, add garlic and shrimp and saute for 3 to 4 minutes or until shrimp are opaque.
- Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add cooking oil and saute onions until tender.
- Add chopped tomatoes and season with Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy to taste.
- Cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add shrimp and heat for 1 minute.
- Serve over rice garnished with fresh lemon slices.
- Note: 40% of calores from fat.
