Spicy Lima Beans Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 strips turkey bacon
- 3/4 cup (175mL) fat-free low sodium chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp (25mL) Mrs. Dash® Tomato Basil Garlic Seasoning Blend
- 3 cups (750mL) frozen lima beans
- 1 tsp (5mL) Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend
Directions:
- Chop bacon.
- Cook bacon 8 to 10 minutes in a 2 1/2 Qt. (3L) saucepan, over medium heat, stirring frequently.
- Add 2 Tbsp. Mrs. Dash® Tomato Basil Garlic.
- Add broth to hot pan. Bring to boil, reduce heat.
- Add lima beans and Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy. Cover, simmer 20 to 25 minutes over low heat or until beans are tender.
- Serve with additional Mrs. Dash® Seasoning Blend, if desired.
