Shrimp Jambalaya Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp. (15mL) vegetable oil
- 1 cup (240mL) diced celery
- 1 cup (240mL) chopped onion
- 1/2 cup (120mL) chopped green pepper
- 1/2 cup (120mL)chopped red pepper
- 2 Tbsp. (25mL) Mrs. Dash® Onion & Herb Seasoning Blend
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. (15 to 25 mL) Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend
- 1 14.5 Oz. (411g) can no salt added whole tomatoes
- 1 6 oz (170g) no salt added sodium tomato paste
- 2 1/3 cup (575mL) water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup (240mL) long grain white rice
- 4 oz (120mL) uncooked medium shrimp
- 6 oz. (170g) cup smoked turkey sausage
Directions:
- Heat oil in 4 Qt. (3L) Dutch oven.
- Add celery, onion, green and red pepper, and Mrs. Dash® Seasoning Blends.
- Cook over medium heat 5 to 7 minutes or until vegetables are crisp tender.
- Add combined tomatoes, tomato paste and water to hot pan, mixing to blend.
- Stir in bay leaf and Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy.
- Reduce heat to low. Cover; simmer 10 minutes.
- Stir in rice. Cover, continue cooking 20 to 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Peel and clean shrimp.
- Add shrimp and turkey.
- Cover, continue cooking 5 to 7 minutes or until shrimp is no longer pink.
- Serve with additional Mrs. Dash® Seasoning Blend, if desired.

I tried the Shrimp Jambalaya and my daughter and I love it. I let some friends try it and they told me that it was so good that they would like for me to make some next weekend .
