Spicy Tofu Chili Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 Tbsp. (45mL) Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend
- 1 Tbsp. (15mL) Mrs. Dash® Garlic and Herb Seasoning Blend
- 1 Tbsp. (15mL) canola oil
- 1 large onion
- 8 Oz. (225g) extra firm tofu
- 1 tsp. (5mL) cumin
- 1 28 Oz. (784mL) can diced tomatoes without salt
- 15.5 Oz. (433mL) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 medium jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely minced
- 1/2 cup (120mL) fresh cilantro, chopped
- 6 Tbsp. (90mL) fat free sour cream
- 6 Tbsp. (90mL) grated cheddar cheese
Directions:
- Chop onion.
- Cut tofu into 1/2" (1.25cm) cubes.
- Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium high heat. Add the onion and saute for 3 minutes.
- Add Mrs. Dash® Garlic and Herb Seasoning Blend and tofu. Saute until the mixture colors lightly, about 2 minutes.
- Stir in Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend and cumin; cook until the seasonings are aromatic, about 1 minute. Add tomatoes, kidney beans, jalapeno and cilantro. Simmer uncovered, until the chili is thick, about 10 minutes.
- Serve in large bowls garnished with sour cream and cheddar cheese.

Great recipe. Made it twice now. Second time - forgot to get tofu.. substituted with chicken breast....still a great recipe.
