Spiced Pecans Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp. (30mL) Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend
- 2 tsp. (10mL) Mrs. Dash® Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend
- 1/4 cup (60mL) butter
- 3/4 cup (180mL) light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (60mL) water
- 4 cups (960mL) raw pecan halves
- Vegetable oil cooking spray
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Spray two large baking sheets with cooking spray.
- Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar, water, Mrs. Dash® Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend and Mrs. Dash® Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend; stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add nuts to sugar mixture and cook until syrup thickly coats nuts. Stir often, approximately 5 minutes.
- Transfer nuts to prepared baking sheets. Place in oven and bake for 10 minutes, being careful not to burn.
- Remove sheets from oven, cool completely.
- Store nuts in airtight tins at room temperature.

Just made these nuts today. So easy. I did add a little cayenne. I make other spice nuts basicly the same way and add curry powder to taste.

I made it using Splenda Brown Sugar, even less carb

I wanted a less spicy version and reduced the Extra Spicy Seasoning and the Lemon Pepper Blends to one half of the indicated amounts, and Oh Boy! Just Right.
