Pasta with Zesty Turkey and Peas Recipe
Mrs. Dash® Lemon Herb Peppercorn 10-Minute Marinade and tomato soup simmer together for a savory sauce to top leftover turkey. You've created a warm and delicious weekend lunch or dinner.
Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) rotini pasta
- 2 cups (480g) cooked turkey breast, cut in one inch slices
- 2 cups (480mL) frozen green peas with pearl onions, thawed and drained
- 1 can (14.5 oz) (406mL) reduced sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 cup (120mL) Mrs. Dash® Lemon Herb Peppercorn 10-Minute Marinade
- 1/2 cup (120mL) reduced sodium condensed cream of tomato soup
- *1/4 cup (60mL) grated Parmesan cheese (*optional)
Directions:
- Cook rotini pasta according to directions on package, drain well.
- Sauté turkey breast and green peas with pearl onions in chicken stock until warm. Remove turkey and green peas from stock, set aside. Discard remaining chicken stock.
- Whisk together Mrs. Dash® Lemon Herb Peppercorn 10-Minute Marinade and tomato soup in a small saucepan to make sauce. Heat until simmering.
- Divide turkey breast and peas and onions in four equal portions, top with lemon tomato sauce, and serve over pasta. Top with Parmesan cheese if desired.
