All-American Beef Stew

What better to warm up a chilly day than a delicious bowl of stew? This flavorful stew is made with fresh vegetables, lean beef and Mrs. Dash® Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. carrots, sliced
  • 3 tbsp. Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend
  • 15 oz. can low-sodium diced tomatoes
  • 1 ½ c. fresh or frozen cut green beans
  • 15 oz. can low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • ½ c. celery, sliced
  • 1 lb. lean beef stew meat, cut into
  • 2 tbsp. canola oil
  • 1 ½ c. red-skinned potatoes (about 5 small potatoes), cubed

Directions

  1. Coat meat in flour.
  2. Brown meat in oil in a large heavy Dutch oven on all sides, about 10 minutes.
  3. Add carrots, celery, Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend, potatoes, green beans and broth to the Dutch oven.
  4. Cook on stovetop on low heat for 3 hours, watching carefully so as not to let it boil over.
