Bayou Shrimp & Veggies With Creole Sauce

Create exciting Creole taste from the convenience of your kitchen with Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend. Brush shrimp and vegetable kabobs with all-purpose Filippo Berio® Olive Oil, grill 4 - 5 minutes and serve with homemade Creole mustard sauce.

Ingredients

Kabobs:

  • 1 ½ tbsp. Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend
  • 16 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 medium yellow squash, sliced into 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 medium zucchini, sliced into 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 tbsp. Filippo Berio Olive Oil
  • 8 skewers

Creole Mustard Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • ¼ c. half-and-half cream
  • ¼ c. water

Directions

Creole Mustard Sauce:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small sauté pan and simmer over high heat 2 to 3 minutes until thick.
  2. Set aside.

Kabobs:

  1. Soak skewers to prevent charring.
  2. Alternately thread two shrimp with zucchini, yellow squash and bell pepper onto skewers.
  3. Brush vegetables with Filippo Berio Olive Oil.
  4. Season shrimp and vegetables with Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend.
  5. Grill over high heat on a preheated grill, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking, about 4 to 5 minutes.
  6. Remove vegetables and shrimp from skewers and drizzle with Creole Mustard Sauce.
