Ingredients

  • 1 c. fresh apple cider
  • 3 tbsp. packed brown sugar
  • 8 c. red cabbage
  • 3 oz. bacon
  • 1 tbsp. Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend
  • 2 medium apples
  • 1 large onion

Directions

  1. Chop bacon and cook in a large saucepan over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes or until crispy.
  2. Dice onion and add to bacon. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until tender.
  3. Finely shred cabbage.
  4. Core apples and cut into 1/2-inch cubes.
  5. Add remaining ingredients except Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend and stir well.
  6. Cook over medium-low heat for 40 to 50 minutes or until tender.
  7. Add Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend and stir.
