Healthy Steak and Cheese Salad

This healthy steak and cheese salad flavored with Tomato Basil Garlic Seasoning Blend will satisfy your steak craving. Serve boneless beef top loin steak strips over a bed of arugula, tomatoes, Monterey Jack cheese and sharp cheddar cheese. (Recipe courtesy of The Beef Checkoff.)

Ingredients

  • ¼ c. shredded real California Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 c. arugula, torn into pieces
  • 2 8-oz. boneless beef top loin (strip) steaks, cut 3/4-inch thick
  • ¼ c. shredded real California sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp. Tomato Basil Garlic Seasoning Blend or Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend
  • 6 small heirloom tomatoes, sliced (2 each red, green and yellow)

Directions

  1. Press seasoning evenly onto beef steaks.
  2. Spray large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium heat until hot.
  3. Place steaks in skillet; cook 10 to 12 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning occasionally.
  4. Carve steaks into thin slices.
  5. Arrange arugula and tomatoes on serving platter; drizzle with vinaigrette and toss.
  6. Top with steak slices; sprinkle with cheeses.
