Rice & Peas Medley

Long on taste when flavored with Onion & Herb Seasoning Blend, this simple side incorporates a serving of vegetables and cooks on the stovetop in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ c. reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 c. converted long-grain white rice
  • 1 tbsp. Onion & Herb Seasoning Blend 
  • 4 tbsp. Molly McButter Butter Flavored Sprinkles
  • 1 ½ c. frozen peas, thawed

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except peas in saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, 15 minutes.
  3. Add peas.
  4. Cook an additional 5 to 6 minutes, covered, or until liquid is absorbed.

Tips

Variations: Stir in chopped fresh parsley before serving or sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese or chopped red bell pepper.
